Who is Jesus?
When God the Father created the world, He created everything good and humans had a perfect, loving relationship with Him.
But humans rebelled against God and fractured our relationship with Him.
Instead of leaving us separated from Him forever, God loved us so much that He sent his Son Jesus Christ to live the perfect life we couldn’t live, die the death we deserved as punishment for our rebellion, and then raised him back to life to defeat death forever!
Because of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, we can be reconciled back to God the Father and live with Him forever in heaven if we align our loyalty to Jesus and choose to follow him as our Lord.
When we choose this path, the Holy Spirit seals us forever as an adopted child of God and gives us the wisdom and ability to love God and love others.

Philippians 2:6–11, NLT
“Though Jesus was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
We believe the Bible is the source of our worldview. We believe that while the Bible was written by real people throughout history, God inspired their message and uses the Bible to tell us the truth about Himself. Because of this, the Bible has the final say in our lives and beliefs. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV)
We believe every Christian has a direct connection to God through Jesus. Because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the direct connection between God and humans that was once broken due to sin has been made possible again. Therefore, we can communicate with God ourselves without a human mediator. “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16 NIV)
We believe in an Individual & Personal Commitment to Christ. We believe we are responsible for our own commitment to Jesus Christ. No one else can make this decision for us. “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12 NIV)
We believe in Believer's Baptism. We believe that baptism is a symbolic public proclamation for someone who has truly believed in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross and has chosen to confess Him as their Lord and Savior. “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4 NIV)
We believe we are meant to follow Jesus together in a local church community. When we decide to follow Jesus, we are adopted into God’s family. A local church acts as a “family unit” of the global church where we build up, serve, love, and encourage one another. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV)
We believe we should unite around the Gospel and try our best not to divide over secondary and tertiary issues. It’s easier to divide than to unite; that’s probably why so many of the New Testament letters tell us to seek unity! While we will happily discuss all sorts of theology, we strive to remain united over the most important issues. “Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.” (Philippians 2:2 NIV)
